A Glance at the Therapist

Alfreda Teoh, LMFT has had an array of experiences conducting individual, couples, and family psychotherapy since graduating with a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California in 2004. She specializes in treating issues related to Depression, Anxiety, Post-traumatic Stress, Bereavement, Marital Discord, Spirituality, and Parenting.

Ms. Teoh has worked in the private as well as the public sectors in the past 15 years. She was most recently a clinical supervisor for therapist interns at a community mental health center, serving children and adolescents who have had a history of abuse and trauma.

Ms. Teoh’s theorectical orientation is eclectic, as she has found efficacy in treatment approaches that range from cognitive- behavioral, family systems, and psycho-dynamic therapies depending on the presenting problems clients seek help with and the styles that best match the clients’ receptiveness.

In her spare time, Ms. Teoh enjoys traveling, visiting museums, attending concerts, plays, musicals, curling up with a good book, and jogging.
